KMBC9 Very Local T-Shirt Design

KMBC9 Kansas City is a local news channel who is partnered with the streaming service, Very Local. Both companies are committed to giving viewers the best local coverage and exploring the best in the greater Kansas City area. This fall, KMBC9 wanted T-Shirt designs to promote the Very Local streaming service in local KC Shops. This project was a collaboration with KCAI student sponsored studio, MICRO Agency and KMBC9.

The concept is based on what Kansas City is and what makes Kansas City so special to the people living there. For the ideation process, there was an exploration on a doodle style as if you were to ask a group of strangers to draw what they think Kansas City is. The final concept ended up being a play on type with a mid-century modern illustrative style with the "KC" acronym being the landscape for a outdoor park scene.
